In industry, electric furnace smelting and oxygen heating methods are generally used. The electric furnace smelting method involves melting coke and calcium oxide (molecular formula CaO) in an electric furnace at around 2200 ℃ to produce calcium carbide (molecular formula CaC2). Oxygen heating method: that is, the blast furnace oxygen rich oxygen heating method is used to melt CaC2 (calcium carbide), extract carbon from limestone, and produce high-temperature and low-pressure gas in the furnace. This furnace utilizes process technology to comprehensively utilize the waste heat and coal ash from the coal gasification process in the production of CaC2. After the coal ash is added with ingredients and melted, CaC2 and ferrosilicon are generated (during the purification of CaC2); High temperature and low pressure gas generators enable the natural production of gas. For each ton of 80% CaC2 melted, approximately 168kg of pure carbon is extracted from limestone, producing 6000-2600 m3 of coal gas (CO in 55% -95%), which can produce approximately 4.5 tons of methanol. Enriched oxygen not only increases the furnace temperature but also enhances the CO quality of the gas, with oxygen being particularly versatile. The gas obtained from the utilization of coal thermal energy is used for coal chemical industry or clean power generation. This process is for the production of CaC2 and gas without energy consumption and pollution.
